Most transfer sites hand your file straight back out again. This one looks at it first, and keeps looking after it has gone.
- Virus scanned on arrival. ClamAV inspects every upload. If the scanner cannot run, the upload is refused rather than waved through.
- Judged by its bytes, not its name. Rename a program to holiday.png and it is still refused. Archives are opened and checked too.
- Nothing hostile can run. Only genuine pictures are ever displayed. Everything else downloads as a plain file, so nothing can execute in anybody’s browser.
- Metadata stripped from previews. The gallery shows a freshly made copy, so camera data and anything hidden inside never reach the person viewing it.
- Erased on a timer. After 48 hours the files are deleted from disk. The record of who opened them stays with you.
- Accounts, not anonymity. Sending needs a confirmed email address, so every file on the service traces back to somebody.
